While most bands are really good at what they do, they can only play songs that they have practiced - which is usually a few hundred at most. With modern technology, DJs now have virtually all songs at their disposal, recorded in high quality. Also, bands often cost 3-5 times more than a professional DJ and they take breaks - good DJs do not. Nothing lessens the excitement of an event more than the cessation of live music even if a CD mix is thrown on while on break. A DJ keeps the party going, non-stop! Your aim is to satisfy all your guests as best as you can. Will a DJ or band work better for you?
All our DJs are equipped with an extensive music library of over 20,000 songs. Our most popular varieties are top 40, country, rock and roll, disco, hip hop and big band. We have access to the newest and hottest songs through our subscription to ZipDJ, the most extensive promotional music service. If there is ever a specific song we somehow do not already have, we always carry mobile internet sticks to download it for you on the spot.
Of course! During your pre-event consultation with your DJ, you will go through our comprehensive event planner, selecting all the songs that you want to hear for your special event. This includes "must play" and "do not play" lists. Also, you will have your own login to an account with our partners at Gigbuilder which allows you to instantly modify your music requests up until one week before your event.
Absolutely! We love to take requests. We actually have tasteful request cards that we can place on tables to make it easier for you and your guests to request your favourite song, or to make a special dedication. Only requests that fall within the guidelines set out by our client will be played.
While our music library is very extensive and constantly updated, there may occasionally be a song that you find your DJ does not have. Just let us know before hand and we will get it for you before your event. If it is a request during your event, as mentioned above, we always carry mobile internet sticks and if the song is on-line we can download it instantly for you.
All our DJs are hand picked and trained professionally for your type of event, making it the ultimate success. A club DJ isn't necessarily cut out to DJ at your wedding. Likewise, a company that advertises "25 years of experience" might very well have been in business for 25 years, but will they send a DJ with that amount of experience? Be cautious when booking your DJ, and always meet them in advance to make sure they will fit your personality and your expectations for your event. This wedding may be your first, but do you want it to be your DJs?
We take pride in our professional ability to interact with you and your guests tastefully to the extent that you desire. Our DJs can customize the event in order to create an atmosphere of elegance and sophistication, or high-energy excitement. At your request, our entertainers can also provide a variety of activities to involve your guests. Most parties call for a DJ with eloquent MC skills and the judgement to use words sparingly. Even at our most outgoing levels, we remain very professional.
Yes! If you wish, they can use their professional experience and training to act as the master of ceremonies and coordinate the the flow of activities at your event.
Our DJs always wear the appropriate attire for your event. The normal dress for weddings is a suit and tie or bowtie, while for school dances we normally wear our custom-embroidered Extreme Entertainment golf shirts - easily recognized by all guests.
We use only high-end, state of the art, professional quality sound and lighting equipment designed for professional DJ and entertainment use. All of our equipment is carefully maintained and is always installed in a visually-pleasing amnner, so as to also provide clear and crisp sound and lighting for you event. Some of the brands we use include JBL, Shure, Pioneer and Chauvet.
When using professional grade equipment, equipment failures are extremely rare; however, in case something does malfunction we always have a backup ready. We realize how important we are to the success of your event and we are very careful not to take any chances. Our commitment to excellence ensures that our service never has a single point of failure, allowing us to consistently provide the quality our customers demand.
We offer a wide range of lighting and special effects. Our packages are designed to include some of the latest lighting and laser effects that are available. If you see something somewhere else that you know you want to book for your event, just let us know and we can make sure we have it for your event, no problem.
